Etterlysning og nominasjon av mulige kandidater for IUPAC-pris Se på nedenstående tekst med linker for å nominere verdige kandidater til denne prisen: The Editorial Board of Chemistry International (CI) initiated a search for the Top Ten Emerging Technologies in Chemistry to kick-off IUPAC's Centenary year. The results were published in the 2019 April issue of CI and one of those technologies actually won the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 2021. The project was so successful that it has been repeated every year since and has met its objective of giving visibility and recognition to the role of chemists and chemistry in solving Society's greatest challenges as well as increasing IUPAC's visibility around the globe. The call for 2026 nominations is now open on the IUPAC website - click here. Proposals are due by midnight on April 30, 2026, and will be retained for three years. I am reaching out to you since IUPAC Leaders within the NAOs, Divisions, and Standing Committees and those involved in IUPAC Projects are at the forefront of chemistry and are likely to be aware of emerging technologies in chemistry. You and your peers are a prime source for 2026 nominations. Therefore, I am asking on behalf of the CI Editorial Board and the panel of judges being led by Dr. Michael Droescher (German Association for the Advancement of Science and Medicine) and myself, that you spread the word and encourage your colleagues in the chemistry community and any others who you believe might be interested in submitting a nomination and contribute to this important initiative. Please post/circulate this announcement to spread the word and help IUPAC demonstrate to the world what chemistry is doing for the well-being of Society and Planet Earth. A feature article presenting details on each of the selected 2025 technologies was published in the October 2025 issue of the IUPAC magazine Chemistry International.
